Notes:
1. It is arguable that the 1948 Channel Islands general issue merits an entry in the FICC catalogue, but Scott list the stamps in the general run of GB, not as a regional issue.
2. There are subsequent variants of paper, gum, unwatermarked phosphor security bands. This applies to all regions.
3. The Sc2 was issued first. This applies to the Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey.
4. For Jersey and Guernsey, Gibbons begins the listing with 1940s occupation issues, see below.
5. The stamps were NVI, 1st class meaning (probable) next day delivery, 2nd class longer than that, E being the European airmail rate. The initial prices were 19p, 27p and 36p.

Occupation Issues

Occupation stamps were issued in Guernsey and Jersey during WW2. Gibbons numbers these in sequence with the 1958 issues.
For Guernsey there were ½d, 1d and 2½d values with many colour variants and the 1d was issued first.
In the case of Jersey, the were ½d and 1d definitives followed by a set of 6 pictorials. Again, the 1d definitive was the first issued
