UN Montreal
UN Montreal Expo issue
1967 Sc170-175 SG172-176

Sc1, 2, 4, 5, 9 and 11 were issued on 24th October 1951, the others on 16th November 1951.

These stamps are used for mail sent from UN headquarters, New York. There are other issues for the UN centres in Geneva and Vienna.

In 1967 there was a special issue for use at the UN pavilion at the Montreal World Fair. The five stamps were denominated in Canadian currency and were only valid on mail posted at the fair, but are not considered to be a separate #1 issue.
