All issue quantities are approximate.

The reason so many stamps are listed here is that the first listed by Scott, #51, is the last on the list! It appears as if Scott erroneously indicate 1889 as the year of issue for their #52.

The predecessor country for Bechuanaland Protectorate was Bechuanaland. In 1965 Bechuanaland aquired internal self government.
