Tips & Tricks
Having problems with this site? Not sure where or how to find what you need? Don't know how to use a scanner? If you have a question like these you may find the answer on this page.
- I don't know what to do?
- Similar questions could be "What is a computer?", "How do I know if my mouse is working?" and "I can't find you in the phone book?". For these kinds of serious problems there's only one solution: you e-mail the webmaster. His mailbox never sleeps.
- The text is too small / large?
- Well lucky you (if you can read this). In Internet Explorer 6 at least, you can go to the browsers View menu, select Text Size and choose a larger or smaller text size! There, better now?
- How do I get this site to be the way I want it?
- Easy: use it! Use the Forums to air your opinions and share your knowledge. And always e-mail the webmaster or contact any one of the board members listed on the Contact Us page. This site is intended to be for you and by you. We value and encourage your input.
- How do I use the Forums?
- You need to register on the Forum before you will have full access to all the Bulletin Boards, as they are also called. Once you have registered you must log in. When you've done that you simply click on anything that looks like a link! The forums are organized in a way similar to folders or directories on your computer. You dig your way down until you hit a post (similar to a file). You can now read and optionally reply to the post you are looking at. Just hit the menu link that says "Reply" and you are presented with a small form where you can enter you opinion. Once you're done typing your message you simply hit the button marked "Post" and your reply will be listed after all the other posts. Do I have to tell you that you can always e-mail the webmaster if you have problems or questions?
- How do I scan my stamps?
- Other people have solved this problem before, so we suggest you try Tips on Scanning and A few scanning tips for more help than you will probably need.
- How do I contribute to this site?
- This one is easy: you e-mail the webmaster or any one of the board members listed on the Contact Us page. We strongly encourage you to let us know what you know, so please do not hesitate. We are just a mouse click away!
- None of my questions have been answered. What do I do?
- This one is easy: you e-mail the webmaster This, by the way, is also the easiest way to get all your other questions answered.
