Thanks Louis
That's a good start, the first NA commemoratives.
Cheers, Nick

Happy New Year, everyone

I caught a news broadcast from BBC World Service in the night which mentioned that the Netherlands Antilles are to split up today and adopt a variety of currencies.
I imagine this will mean some new first issues.

I don't have any of the 1949 issues http://www.snap-dragon.com/fi_guinness_page_28.htm#Netherlands%20Antilles, but as these numbered sequentially from Curaçao, this might also apply to the purists in the Club. However, if anyone has some spares, or just scans, from 1949 et seq, please let me know.

Cheers, Nick

I recently noticed this Nova Scotia forgery (described as such) being offered by
a Montreal dealer.  The forger is unknown and in the litterature he is only referred as Forger B.
The forgery itself is not terribly dangerous and is also betrayed by the wrong cancel (New Brunswick), it is most
probably the same forger who produced the 6d illustrated in the article.

Wow!  I did not put that Mexico #1 up there.  At least not intentionally.  Something is still amiss, but I think it is in my own computer.

Thanks for the information, Louis, and for the activity.  Maybe we can get this web site going again.

I spotted this stamp yesterday in an on-going internet auction being offered as genuine.
It is most probably an Oneglia forgery (V17N3) with a fake cancel designed to imitate
the Newfoundland 10 bars cancel, so beware!
