Mariana Sc#1 (Spanish)

All,

Well, I just spent several months allowance and purchased aMariana (Spanish) #1 with a cert.  I bought it from Chris Ceremuga, the Western Ukraine expert who lives in New South Wales, Australia.  Chris indicates that only 500 of these were printed and "very few" survived.  I'm not really sure if that representation is accurate, but I am happy to be the new owner of this one - with its APEX cert.  It arrived in today's mail.  Kris Kringle did nicely this year.

Hey Tim,
I am just getting around to reading some of these posts, just a little over half a year late.  Good going on your acquisition of Mariana Islands #1.  Did you have to pay full CV for it?  Maybe that question is getting a little too nosey?  I have been chasing these #1's since 1978 and have never yet had a Mariana Islands #1.

Tim,
I do not have a current catalog either.  Scott 2004 Classic was $475.00 for unused Mariana Islands #1.
