GB 1Ds
« on: February 13, 2005, 05:21:12 AM »

I have been off on another tangent recently. While not strictly First Issues, it might be of passing interest and does at least begin with a Penny Black. My new page

http://www.snap-dragon.com/gb_1_penny_stamps.htm

shows all the GB 1 penny stamps and has a following page with all the

Thanks Rodolfo

If you can scan them at 300 whatsits, that would be great. Please include the Scott numbers. Do you have any of the USA $1s?

Please send them to nick_blackburn@yahoo.com.

Cheers, Nick

This is very interesting project. I think I will start similar one for $1 stamps.

Tim
Thanks for the suggestion, but if the numbers are as you suggest then I think that just as there are too many 1c's, there are too few 1/2c's to give a good picture of the development. I'll investigate both, but 1c's and $1s have a pleasing symmetry.

Rodolfo
I don't thing jpegs get much smaller when you zip them, but it's fine as a method of bundling the images.
If possible, please include Scott numbers and I'll cross reference these to Gibbons.

Thanks Rodolfo

That's terrific. I have started work on the page and will post again in a few days when I have moved the images in.
Don't worry abut Gibbons numbers - that's my job.
There is a remarkably close correlation between the Sc#s and the SG#s.

The basics are done on USA 1c and $1:

Can anyone let me know what has happened after my catalogues run out.

Perhaps France next.
