Stamps in novels
« on: July 15, 2006, 04:33:51 AM »

I have referred to literature featuring stamps in earlier posts, including a list from Guinness which appears in an Afghanistan thread for a reason which now eludes me. One on the list is Robert Graves' Antigua, Penny, Puce a copy of which I picked up while on holiday recently.

It was first published in 1936. Graves is perhaps better known for his WW1 war poetry and his I Claudius novels, on which the television series was based.

It is a pretty good read, as informative and interesting
